Content Writing training with Vishnu Nambiar

Write pages that answer a reader’s next question.

A useful page earns attention by understanding what the reader needs. This two-month content writing course starts with that need, then works through research, structure, drafting and revision. You will learn to defend your editorial choices instead of filling a word-count target.

Live 1:1 training with me—not recorded video classes.

I personally teach every student. We meet for live, individual sessions where you can ask questions, share your work and understand why I recommend a particular approach. You will not be buying a library of recorded lessons.

I take only a limited number of students because I handle the training myself. We’ll agree on a timetable before enrolment, with time for you to practise between sessions. I’ll confirm availability when we discuss your goals.

Who should choose content writing?

The course suits aspiring writers, business owners who write their own pages and marketers who need to give better briefs. You should be comfortable reading and drafting in your chosen writing language. Discuss your language preference and starting level before enrolment.

Learning route

Live content writing training online

I offer content writing training online through live 1:1 sessions. We discuss your draft on screen, work through research and editing decisions, and agree on the next writing exercise. You get personal guidance while practising from wherever you are comfortable learning.

What I will teach you

Weeks 1–2 · Research before drafting

Define the intended reader and the decision the page should support. Collect reliable sources, record quotations separately and identify questions that existing pages leave unanswered. Turn the research into a brief with a clear angle.

Weeks 3–4 · Structure and first drafts

Build headings around a logical reading sequence. Practise introductions, explanatory paragraphs and examples. Draft an article and a service page with different purposes, avoiding the habit of using the same opening for every topic.

Weeks 5–6 · Editing for usefulness

Remove repetition, qualify unsupported statements and check whether each section adds something. Improve transitions and calls to action. Review search intent and titles without forcing keywords into sentences where they do not belong.

Weeks 7–8 · Portfolio and editorial handover

Revise selected samples after feedback. Prepare a concise source list, image brief and publishing checklist. Explain the audience, purpose and limitations of each sample so that a reader can assess your thinking as well as your prose.

What I will teach you about writing

  • Reader and purpose: decide who the piece is for and what it should help them understand.
  • Research: keep source notes, distinguish opinion from evidence and record quotations accurately.
  • Briefs: define an angle, useful examples and the questions the draft must answer.
  • Structure: build introductions, headings, paragraphs and transitions around the reading journey.
  • Commercial copy: explain a service, address objections and write an appropriate next step.
  • SEO editing: align the page with search intent, improve titles and add relevant internal links naturally.
  • Quality control: check facts, attribution, clarity and consistency before publishing.

Three pieces we will develop together

An educational article: bring a question that deserves a researched answer. I’ll review your brief and source notes before we work through the draft. We’ll test whether the introduction gets to the point and whether each section adds useful information.

A service page: explain a real or clearly labelled practice offer. Unlike the article, this page needs to help a reader decide whether to enquire. We’ll work on scope, suitability, process and evidence without adding promises the business cannot support.

A short email sequence: give each message a specific purpose and a clear next action. This is a writing exercise; you do not need a subscriber list or permission to send live emails to complete it.

How we will revise your drafts

I’ll help you separate structural editing from polishing individual sentences. First, we check the order and identify unanswered questions. Then we remove repetition and vague claims. You’ll keep a short revision note explaining the biggest changes, so you learn a repeatable method rather than simply accepting corrections.

Originality and responsible AI

I want you to develop your own explanation from research, not rewrite somebody else’s article sentence by sentence. Credit quotations and check AI-generated suggestions. A plagiarism score can help locate overlap, but it cannot certify originality against every page on the internet.

Before we begin

Bring a laptop, a short writing sample and two topics you would enjoy researching. We’ll discuss your working language and the amount of practice you can realistically complete. You do not need an existing published portfolio.

What we will create in practice

Build a small portfolio around distinct formats: an educational article, a service page and a short email sequence. Each piece needs its own reader, brief and structure. Show the revision process where helpful, and label practice assignments accurately instead of presenting them as commissioned client work.

How I will help you use AI

Learn to use AI for questions, outline alternatives and editing suggestions while retaining authorship and judgement. Check generated statements against sources, remove invented examples and rewrite generic passages. An originality score is a signal to investigate, not proof that a draft is accurate or wholly unique.

Questions about content writing training

Will I learn SEO writing?

Yes: search intent, page organisation, titles and contextual internal links are part of the editorial work. The focus remains on useful writing rather than repeating a keyword to reach a density target.

Does AI replace the writing exercises?

No. You still research, draft and revise. You should be able to explain what you changed and why, regardless of which tools assisted you.

Can a beginner join?

Yes, if you can commit time to reading and writing between sessions. Share a short sample when discussing the course so the starting point can be assessed.
