Local SEO training with Vishnu Nambiar

Make a local business easier to understand and find.

When someone searches for a nearby service, the business must communicate what it does, where it operates and why it deserves consideration. This focused Local SEO course teaches you to review that information systematically and turn the gaps into a practical action list.

Live 1:1 training with me—not recorded video classes.

I personally teach every student. We meet for live, individual sessions where you can ask questions, share your work and understand why I recommend a particular approach. You will not be buying a library of recorded lessons.

I take only a limited number of students because I handle the training myself. We’ll agree on a timetable before enrolment, with time for you to practise between sessions. I’ll confirm availability when we discuss your goals.

Who should choose local seo?

This is a suitable starting point for shop owners, clinic administrators, service-business teams and marketers responsible for local visibility. You do not need an advanced technical background, but access to a real business context makes the exercises more useful.

Learning route

What I will teach you

Week 1 · Establish the real business

Record the business name, operating model, contact details, opening hours and actual service area. Learn to distinguish a customer-facing location from a service-area business. Build a baseline audit without inventing addresses or creating duplicate profiles.

Week 2 · Review the business profile

Assess relevant categories, services, descriptions and authentic photographs. Prepare a correction list and learn which changes need owner approval. Discuss verification as a platform-controlled process; course enrolment cannot guarantee approval.

Week 3 · Connect the website and reputation

Draft a useful location or service page with directions, contact options and customer questions. Examine business-detail consistency and a genuine review-request workflow. Practise responses to positive and negative feedback without fabricating reviews.

Week 4 · Measure and prioritise

Compare available profile interactions with website enquiries and explain the limits of that data. Assemble a local visibility report and a 30-day maintenance plan that an owner can actually follow.

The Local SEO syllabus in detail

I start with the actual business rather than a list of ranking tricks. We establish who the customers are, where the business operates and which information a customer needs before calling or visiting.

  • Business discovery: customer questions, service coverage, business details and owner permissions.
  • Profile review: categories, services, descriptions, hours, contact links and genuine photographs.
  • Website connections: relevant service pages, directions, contact information and clear enquiry routes.
  • Consistency: identifying conflicting business details on relevant listings.
  • Reputation: asking for honest reviews and responding constructively to feedback.
  • Measurement: interpreting available profile interactions and relating them to actual enquiries.

The assignments we will review together

First, prepare a discovery sheet for one local business. I’ll help you distinguish verified information from assumptions. Next, create an audit with three columns: what is currently shown, what needs changing and the evidence supporting that change. You should be able to explain each recommendation to the owner without hiding behind technical language.

For the content assignment, outline a useful local service page and draft answers to genuine customer questions. Then create a review-response guide and a monthly maintenance checklist. These exercises give you a process you can repeat when business hours, services or contact details change.

What I want you to be able to do

By the end, you should be able to identify inaccurate information, prioritise improvements and prepare a sensible local visibility plan. We’ll also discuss when an issue needs platform support. A course cannot guarantee verification, reinstatement or a top-three Maps position.

What to bring

Bring a laptop, an example business and its approved details. Authorised profile access helps with implementation but is not necessary for every review exercise. We never change another owner’s listing without permission. For deeper technical SEO and wider content strategy, compare my three-month SEO course.

What we will create in practice

The final exercise is a local-business audit pack: a profile checklist, a revised service-page outline, a review-response guide and a prioritised improvement plan. Use your own business or an authorised example. No changes are made to somebody else’s listing without permission.

How I will help you use AI

Use AI to group customer questions and test alternative explanations of services. Verify every detail against the real business. AI cannot supply genuine customer reviews, prove an address or establish qualifications that a business does not hold.

Questions about local seo training

Is this different from the full SEO course?

Yes. This month concentrates on local discovery and business information. The three-month SEO course covers a broader website strategy, technical SEO, content and reporting.

Can you promise a top-three Maps position?

No. The course teaches improvements you can control. Visibility also depends on the searcher’s location, competition and platform decisions.

What should I bring?

A laptop and basic business details are useful. If you want to work on a live profile, arrange authorised access; never share your password in an enquiry.
